Frequently Asked Questions?

 

Q: Can I come down and have a ride and try the track?

A: Yes, if you are new to motocross, but you will need to purchase a 1 day recreational licence: $20. This is a once only if you wish to ride again you need to complete your membership.

Q: Can I ride when I want?

A: We have times for when the track is open. Dedicated practice for for Juniors and Seniors through the week. General open practice is for all classes sharing practice with 15 mins each. ALL CLASSES MUST HAVE SEPARATE PRACTICE SESSIONS!

Q: Can I ride the track with my children?

A: No, Juniors (under 16) can not ride with seniors. All classes need to have separate practice.

Q: I am a member of Coastal's and have a Rec Licence can I ride the club run?

A: Yes, But you do need to buy a 1 Day Competition Licence: $44

Q: When I join your club do I get a key?

A: All riders or Guardians need to get their Level 1 Officials licence before a key is issued. Level 1 Official courses are conducted at MWA, The course is approximately three hours on safety and regulations of motorcycle racing, there is no charge for the course.

Q: I am a member of another club and have a National Licence can I ride your club run?

A: Yes you need to buy a Associate membership $30, then you can ride all our club runs, you will not be awarded any points.

 

New Members


Coastal Motorcycle Club welcomes new members, for Competition and Recreational riding for all over the age of 4 years.

We are the only club in Western Australia that caters for Juniors and Seniors on two and fours wheels.

Single Membership $210.00

Family Membership $290.00

Membership is valid from the date of issue till the 31st December.

Members need to complete their membership form and complete the Licence application. See the links below.

Seniors wanting a National Licence need to complete a rider competency test (you will need a 1day rec licence $20 for this and can ride while the official is present )

Juniors requiring a National Licence need to complete 5 hours of coaching before they can apply for a new licence. All Junior are required to complete 5 hours of coaching each year before their licence can be renewed.

Senior National Licence: $265.00

Junior National Licence: $240.00

Recreational Licence Juniors & Seniors: $85.00

All licences are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and payable to Motorcycling WA

All riders need the appropriate safety gear:

Australian Standards Helmet: MX Boots: Goggles: Gloves: Long Race Pants: Long Sleeve Jersey. Juniors (Under 16) are also required to wear Body Armour.

Members are required to Pay an additional Working Levy $100 with their membership. Once you have assisted three (3) busy bees over the 12 months you will refunded the $100. Busy Bees are to assist in preparing the track before a race meet, they are held the day before every event.
